In the Netherlands non-assisted electric bikes are not allowed, which is why you don't see them (except the occasional violation). In other countries you have bikes with throttle, essentially an electric scooter.

Nowadays a whole new trend is arising in the Netherlands. By introduction of the electric bike the cut-off for taking a bike vs. car is much less steep. Regular electric bikes (max 25km/h) make people bike to work for ranges 5-10 km si

You have the four knobs to turn. Resources ($, FTE), scope, deadline, quality. The dilemma typically is that the one calling the shots wants to fix three of them and does not accept the fourth knob has to be turned. Another is that close to

Using this as well. While I like Spolsky in general (see other comment) I'd argue he is off here. It makes me come back to threads instead of forgetting my comments.

Your landing page should have some indication of what the product is or what to expect. Closed it as there is no hints on what the product actually is. Is this about doing a structured risk assessment for e.g. Security risks, safety risks e

Congrats on making something that you are able to share. > Only the current audio/video frame is being sent to the viewers, there is no way they can download/cache the videos either for future usage. In the end, if the video en

Coming from the other side we have Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) [0]. Which introduces some waterfall to Agile instead of the other way around. 3 month planning events, commitments, etc. Not bad perse if you work in an environment where not

Was hoping to find an opensource alternative to codescene [0]. A tool using Predictive Analytics to find hidden risks and social patterns in your code, all from your git repo (and some manual mapping of teams). Unfortunately not the case.

This article for me fails to provide the number one key comparison why I use wordpress. The availability of plugins for nearly everything, almost always free. The community aspect is the most important factor for most people selecting wordp

We actually use a radial menu in one of our newer products. You can see it in this movie [0] at 0:34. We have multiple rings as well where the first ring will open a second ring to show the submenu. I believe it was pretty well received for

I think what was meant is if only UI was the bottleneck of creating great dashboards... We would all have fancy dashboards in no time. Unfortunately, the real work is in talking to your hellish backend and make it cough up the data and then

Writing code that is well designed but not over-designed is a great skill. It is in every engineer to write the gold plated car, as it is in marketing and sales to always need the future tomorrow to gain competitive edge. The number of time

The very first thing I see on the Sqreen landing page is an animation that gives me an idea of what the product looks like. When I scroll down I see the supported languages that tell me if my environment is supported. Images are large enoug

Congrats on the launch! Impressive product. Seems to be a minor issue on your website when accessed from a mobile device. On my iOS + chrome the pricing page, detailed features tabs all show only the stats for the first (free) tier.

Tip: add an option to try this out without registering. "!4-day free trial" is completely different from "demo". I'll pass for now (but I think I like the idea).

Personally I do not like feeds that take 1/2 page or more on my mobile to cover one item. Drawback of showing pictures for feed items. HN is super nice because it is so condensed (for me).

So you got to PH#1 the first time with your product v1, now worked a year and try again. What are you hoping to achieve? You already had it the first time, what is it that you hope to gain this time that you didn't get the first time?

The sample on the github is a bit counter-intuitive. I understand why it generates it, but the result does not make sense. You post the same request to the /health endpoint. Normally this returns 200 but in case of an internal server e
