Filenames are text if you ever want to let a user interact with them by name.

While correct that also means that you cant ever correctly show filenames to users either. At somepoint you need to relate it to an encoding as a user displays or enters it. "utf-8 everywhere now!"

There is value in the 2d -> 3d print -> 2d because the realworld lighting is much better in showing us aspects of the shape than say a raw CAD render.

I think this is actually more of a fix for the problems with self driving cars, specifically: other traffic. By creating a new category of infrastructure the selfdriving parts can be far more reliable and simple.

Because bullying kids boosts their social intelligence and learns them important lessons ? Bullying had a far greater impact on me then any class in those elementary school years, but i can tell you it has the inverse effect you suggest.

iDEAL covers nearly all the dutch banks (10 of them) so no 'per bank' payment systems. Creditcards are not accepted by brick and mortar stores except for some very tourist heavy areas, most people do not have a creditcard here.
