Reasoning was set to minimal and low (and I think I tried medium at some point). I do not believe the timeouts were due to the reasoning taking to long, although I never streamed the results. I think the model just fails often. It stops pro

What's your acceptable error rate? Honestly ministral would probably be sufficient if you can tolerate a small failure rate. I feel like medium would be overkill. But I'm no expert. I can't say I've used mistral much out

Heh it's a quote from Archer FX (and admittedly a poor machine translation, it's a very old expression of mine). And yes, this only happens when I ask it to apply my formatting rules. If you let GPT format itself, I would be surpr

I don't see the contention. I do not use llms in the design, development, copywriting, marketing, blogging, or any other aspect of the crafting of the application. I labor over every word, every button, every line of code, every blog p

Yes. I spent about 3 days trying to optimize the prompt to get gpt-5 to not produce gibberish, to no avail. Completions took several minutes, had an above 50% timeout rate (with a 6 minute timeout mind you), and after retrying they still wo

I use large language models in http://phrasing.app to format data I can retrieve in a consistent skimmable manner. I switched to mistral-3-medium-0525 a few months back after struggling to get gpt-5 to stop producing gibberish.

Speaking from experience, I get hundreds of of applications per month. 90%+ of them are either templated or less than 20 words. 50%+ of them have no indication they even read the job post, applying for technologies or positions not included

To call LLMs a result summarizer is a complete mischaracterization of the technology.

If you look at my post history, I’m the last person to defend LLMs. That being said, I think LLMs are the next evolution in search. Not what OpenAI and Anthropic and xAI are working on - I think all the major models are moving further and f

It doesn't look like any of the TTS solutions are sufficient. I'll be removing the language limitation sometime next year, once the interfaces are built out for custom audio and custom annotations. If a good Dzongkha TTS comes out

From the get go, I was building it to be language agnostic. Almost all of the pipeline is built to work regardless of the language, and any language specific code is only run at the end of the pipeline. If I have issues with a language I do

I personally find it quite ugly and clunky. I feel like the interface is optimized for children, and the number of ads you have to tap through to get even a modicum of knowledge is quite clunky. The last time I used it I spent over 20 hours

I’m not sure if that’s a realistic ask. There is ample abuse of LLM generated content, and there are plenty of ESL publishers. Personally I would recommend including a note that English is not your native language and you had an LLM clean t
