I use a yubikey. But AFAIK, Apple doesn't actually use passkeys for iCloud/Apple ID authentication.

Not if the Passkey was synced (ex: you used iCloud keychain). If the passkey was not synced, then I would have to assume it would be the same if you lost a physical hardware key.

Safari is my primary browser, but I do love some of the UI/UX things Arc is doing. But it's not enough to pry me from Safari, largely due to just how engrained in the iOS ecosystem I am (Apple Pay, Passkeys, Login with Apple, etc.

Google has actually had this rolled out for some time. I've been using a Passkey on my account for the better part of a year. For whatever reason, they're just now announcing it.

Passkeys can also be used in addition to passwords, as a form of 2FA. I've seen a number of sites approach Passkeys in this manner. Or if you really wanted to, you could flip it. You can allow the Passkey to be the "password"

Google actually outlines that very scenario near the bottom of their announcement: > Using passkeys does not mean that you have to use your phone every time you sign in. If you use multiple devices, e.g. a laptop, a PC or a tablet, you c

I'm curious what benefit this would actually yield to you? Is it simply just the case of not having to leave the app? Because aside from that, there would (likely) be no IAP; you'd still be required to give your financial info dir

To piggyback off the beta release cycle, I really like Thinky Bits chart on iOS beta releases. Looking at it gives a pretty good idea of when the current beta will hit RC. http://www.thinkybits.com/blog/iOS-versions

TV+ is close and seems to be following the HBO model. At at a fraction of the cost (currently). But I agree. HBO is one TV service I don't mind paying annually for.
