Depends on how you define launch I guess. Gmail began as invite-only around 2004, I believe. Publicly available, but still in beta around 2007, and released from beta in 2009. If you use the publicly available date, then it's about 5 years.

I've done some research in this area with examining user input mechanics. This particular example would be solvable using B-spines [1], as one possible approach. The "path CAPTCHA" even provides some great computational hints, by indicating

Unfortunately, most companies don't seem to publish it, but you can find out through HR. I worked at a company (now Lonza), and they had 100% tuition reimbursement with no caps. I did my entire Master's degree at their expense (ECE), and I

I've often wondered the same. You basically end up having to have all three in your init.el file, since there doesn't appear to be a good rhyme or reason are to which packages are contained in which repositories.

I'm starting to suspect that the people who keep recommending TrueCrypt for day-to-day usage on Dropbox fall into the camp of "Do as I say, not as I do." Because if they are actually using TC the way they suggest, they might as well use FTP

That's fantastic! One of the reasons I keep coming back to DDG is that you guys are so responsive to users' needs. That's what made me a loyal DDG user in the first place.

There are very few circumstances in which certifications are useful. Many companies will, however, pay for you to get certified as part of their employee benefit, so you should definitely take advantage of that. It will give you an opportun

That's not entirely true. org-mode is quite flexible and serves as a lot of things, and one of them is in fact as a TODO list [1]. This becomes particularly true when you use the TODO extensions. I am constantly surprised at the capabilitie

It's a terribly confusing universe these days, and boycotts must depend on the position of the moon. Wasn't that long ago that people wanted to boycott Amazon for doing their silly one-click patent. Or their 1984 Kindle book deletion thing.

Just curious, but are you actually using a conspiracy theory site as evidence of "not hard to find"? My favorite part of the article was perhaps this line: "The evidence comes from events that revealed the NSA’s true motives from 2005 throu
