> brew doesn't merely make their life as a dev easier, it makes being a dev possible Your comment made it seemed as if there was no way to develop on a Mac before homebrew, which I think is silly. It’s just a tool. Makes your life e

Are you implying you cannot be a dev w/o brew?

In that case, why would we develop enzymes? We just always had them? And what about animals that eat only raw food? Does that imply that they wouldn’t be able to digest cooked food?

Per PBS SpaceTime, humanity has been able to recreate conditions 0.000001 seconds after Big Bang (arbitrary number), in particle accelerators. But to add an extra 0 would require the energy output of our universe. The implication is that we

Yes, that is really, really messed up. I’m not abdicating Apple from making a crap machine that they will be fixing for the next X years because of whatever issue. Currently, I still have faith in Apple, despite their lemons only because ot

You are 100% right, besides the mil spec, which explicitly means the “least expensive option that does the job”. I can attest that recently, the average laptop is way better. My machines were a toshiba, surface (2nd gen), and think pads (du

In the last 12 years, I’ve owned 3 MacBooks. Maybe my experience isn’t common, but the units that I’ve bought, have always outlived my windows machines. When averaged out to cost per year, in my experience, Apple is way cheaper.

Yeah, you can think of it as condensing information. For example: in French terms, you’d have to explicitly say “julienne the scallions across and dump them in an ice bath”. For sushi, that’s an explicit technique. The cut, length, trim, an

Maybe I can help with some context. Broadly speaking, there is a Western style (French) and Eastern style. The big difference is that French cooking is very systematized, Escoffier took inspiration from his time in the army, as such, we hav

That makes sense. Everyone leaves, they have no partners and it’s all run by college grads? Just thinking through the premise of: Big4 folks arent capable of high level thinking that’s why they leave for “greener pastures”, implies that the

Large audit firms (Big4) use google sheets and they do some real crazy/awesome stuff. Why are you poo-pooing on the tech? Edit: They also use Excel, btw. It’s just the right tool for the right job.

I would like to propose a litmus test of the Manhattan project. What does it take for a person to defect and actively work to destroy their homelands political power? I am not supporting or refuting your statement, for the record.
