You would think that forced logins would have stopped a majority of the scraping. Even if it didn't the rate limit they have well below what would be needed to stop scrapers.

If you actually looked at the balance sheet of twitter before Elon took it over it was quite possible to make it profitable. It would have needed to cut cost and probably try and to boost its ad platform a bit more but well within the realm

That is a pretty good solution to the relevant tags and spam issues I was worried about. Good thinking there. One half of my issues gone. The single conversation is still a big problem for me. I really like being able to have conversations

Honestly I believe that hashtags only work on twitter due to the character limit. If hashtags were exempt from the character limit it would be a complete mess.

What do you do when there are comment threads between subscribers of different tags. Or what if somebody is subscribed to both tags but wanting to comment based more on the viewpoint of one of the tags. I'm not saying it couldn't

Look at the vitriol that YouTube premium gets. I get it there are a lot of people that know how to have an ad free YouTube without paying. I don't like that some basic app features like background video playing are locked behind premiu

The use of tags vs discrete communities keeps it from being a viable alternative to Reddit for me. I have a real disdain for tags for user generated content. Every site I have seen use tags I end up having to wade through a ton of spam or v
