On closer inspection, I see what you mean. It's a spam message, not the app showing ads. Apologies for propagating the FUD

Agreed. I'm still hanging onto my 1st gen iPhone SE, there's been no worthy replacements.

Sucks that they were bought out, but I couldn't help but laugh at the original developer's website: "award losing android developer". https://kaputa.sk/

I don't think there is one "remotely correct" way to do it, it's a matter of preference.

Wow that's messed up. Arguably even worse than WhatsApp's recent move to show ads.

Yeah, plus compared to having to maintain and empty the change mechanisms or removing them all it was probably the cheaper option.

I wonder if Riot Games will ever make their games run natively on Linux? AFAIK some of their games ran via wine but they introduced an anti-cheat system that now prevents that from working.

I always thought the fancy DOS icon meant the program was broken - it looked sort of like a sinking ship to me.

Right, but those online ones are also usually covered in ads, don't run locally, and run the risk of infecting the output with malware.

The conversion for this one happens all client-side - no streaming data to a server required. If you're happy using your existing apps, you probably wouldn't see much use in this. But I can definitely see how the UI/UX would

I feel this is easier than those solutions in a lot of cases - mainly because you don't need to install anything. Just open website, drag and drop a file, pick target format, done.

I wore a suit to my very first tech interview on the advice of my well-meaning but ill-informed mother. I got the job, but was then told "don't listen to your mother"!

I went looking to buy one, but I don't think they sell them anymore. The website only has Smart TVs for sale. I'm based in Australia so maybe it's a region thing?

I think it runs pretty well for something in the browser but I can see what you mean. Is there a decent program that runs efficiently outside of the browser?

That's great. Really reduces the friction and yak-shaving - no need to mess about with layouts or colour schemes or fonts.

This is a bit of a tangent, but I've often thought having an official real-time chat would be great to bring the community a little bit closer. There have been a few unofficial chats created and proposed, or chat channels on existing I

Having lots of rules does not automatically make a game awful. So many people (myself included) enjoy games with lots of rules. Granted, there's an upper limit where a game takes more energy to "maintain" by ensuring the rule
