I've started working on doing TLA+-style models but using Python as the language for doing so (disassembly and all) with an easier to deploy model checker. Super super early and I'm not quite yet ready to announce it, so don'

This is a bit of code archaeology for me :) Compiling it is easy, running it is hard, especially without MQL. I think I still remember enough to write up a walkthrough if folks would find that interesting...

That's not self-hosting. That's paying a cloud provider for a lot of services I don't need. To me, self-hosting means I can (theoretically) run everything I need, on my bare-metal -- a cloud provider or cloud service (eg, RDS

Agreed; it's impossible to self-host and is therefore a non-starter. For what it's worth, I've been pretty happy with FreshRSS ( https://freshrss.org/ )

As per the other commenter, Cayley provides a graph data model on top of an existing storage layer. However, when we get to manage the storage layer (Bolt, Level -- that's being generalized into local-KVs in the next release) we get to

The answer is, not much. They're shockingly similar. Both are achieving very similar ends through slightly different means (the subtlety of `virtual` in C++ leading to vtables) -- dynamic dispatch of a function based on an instantiatio

Sometimes, but very rarely, if only because of FFI as you pointed out. And usually there's something in the unsafe category that lets you break some rules, if only to give a pressure release as in the interop reply above. I don't

I'm flattered. If you like the Torus style, https://github.com/coreos/go-tcmu is a package I'm quite proud of (SCSI interactions wrapped in a nice pure-Go interface) and then a plug for https://git

Exactly so, for the RDBMS model. Yeah, this has it's own issues, but it's the most direct method. We do a little extra trick with the indexing; joining on fixed hashes instead of the full value, but nothing crazy.

The thing badwolf brings to the table (and respect to the author -- super nice fellow) is adding metadata (namely, a timestamp) to the links. The topic of 'reification' found throughout our recent discussion is how we can generall
