The thing is slow because the ARM core is tagged onto the side of the GPU. The chipset is designed for throwaway STB uses. The ARM core isny much faster than a 100MHz SPARC 20 I have. About 15% faster. The IO also sucks. For a general purpo

You can't rank a brand when it comes to headphones especially when the market is segmented between cheap shit, pro consumer and studio. Universally though if its a pretty colour or a TV advert its going to be shit.

Sennheiser HD25. Either the cheap version or the full ones. Cans are the same.

+1 I've had my HD25s for 8 years. They don't just sound good but are monitoring phones with a virtually flat frequency response. I ran the cable over hundreds of times with my chair as well - just eats it up.

Excellent. The more competitors to the Pi the better. I've been nothing but disappointed by mine - it's slow, convoluted and totally unreliable. I do expect the opposite for the money when you can get a generic android tablet for

We've had a couple of older COM-based applications that target Windows 5.1 (2003/XP) platforms fail unpredictably with it on later operating systems. Whether these are just badly behaved applications or compilers or a faulty desig

No you shouldn't. 1. It breaks a lot of stuff. 2. It isn't very good: http://bromiumlabs.files.wordpress.com/2014/02/bypassing-eme... At best it's a dose of Tamiflu. As many people before have said,

I think those are all available for considerably less than £8. The non-scarcity of books has pretty much hung them here and that's a good thing. Publishers sell books. I just want the words and they're virtually free to distribute

I don't have one really. I have a T400 thinkpad and work wherever I feel comfortable. I avoid a specific place to work as I find that terribly demotivating.

No chance of winning that but they can make a lot of noise about it to draw attention to it.

Company I did a contract for last year has 8MB of (Java) source code and a 52MB SVN repo and make £40 million a year out of it... We're doing something wrong.

My sister went through the same things about the same time. She put a hockey stick in the face of the ring leader in the end, smashed her teeth and broke her jaw. She was arrested but the duty officers agreed to write it off as they'd

Because we're throwing a pile of cash away on fighting foreign wars we can't win and killing people rather than abolishing PPP and concentrating on looking after all the sick people at home.

That is correct. You don't have to sync if you paid for anything from Office 365 Home and above. However it bugs you constantly to do it and all the save dialogs in Office 2013+ promote saving to "The Cloud". It's terrib

That's total horse shit. PPP was not about government efficiency not has it improved efficiency. PPP was about trading a short immediate cost (infrastructure build) against a long one (rent). It was a cash flow measure to knock as much
