The TL:DR of every "AI vs Schools, what should teachers do?" article boils down to exactly this: Talk with the students 1-1. You can fake an essay, you can't fake a conversation about the topic at hand.

I have had Turnitin flag my work as plagiarism for quotes from the relevant text that were quite clearly indicated as quotes. It's shit software for schools and teachers to cover their ass. Nothing more, and deserves no more attention.

Eslaught didn't mention survival, so Noman-land's rebuttal doesn't cover all cases of dread. I'm more trying to help him understand than directly refute his misdirected point. The feeling of dread isn't about how yo

Even if this was true for neurotypicals (which it isn't) it wouldn't be true for neurodivergent folk. Can you hold a conversation next to a lawnmower? A jackhammer? A jet engine? At some point there's literally too much noise

I think it would be better to require a meaningful percentage (say 1%) of compression rather than an exact count of bytes. Especially while people can ask for arbitrarily large files.

This strategy or something like it legitimately wins the challenge. The challenge (based on expected value) is not to find some compression scheme that will compress 100% or even 50% of files to less than their original size. Instead it
