What modal mac mini are you using? I have a 2012 i7 one with the HD4000 graphics card, I also use a 27 inch monitor and find it to be a little laggy. Are you using a SSD?

This is certainly good news for HN, more than a few times I have been misled into thinking a pages.github.com submission was an official github announcement.

Javascript is essential for any web developer no matter what server side technology they use. I would highly recommend learning Javascript first.

With the ever decreasing prices of VPSs these days (both Digital Ocean & Prgrmr offer a $5/month VPS) I really don't see much need for an experienced developer to pick using a shared host.

Its nice to see Bitbucket moving away from simply copying the design and featureset of Github. The newer design and features like this are very welcome.

What makes you say PHP is not object oriented? It has had proper object support since 5.0 (2004).

If he knows what DNS is, it should be trivial to change it. That someone who is technical has to read through documentation to make a basic change like that is pretty silly...

While this is true, banning guns makes it harder for a single crazy person to kill many people at once and could prevent some of these US public area mass killings.

If you have a half decent UI you shouldn't need to read through documentation to make a basic change like that.
