Some of these spas (e.g 47 in Baden) would be perfect for relaxing with the caveat of avoiding weekends and school holidays. In these times they are crowded with families. Their idea of a good day at the spa are often at odd with mine... I

Agree, plus let's avoid having the CI pipeline creating commits in the remote repo. I like CI/CD to be stateless with regards to the files in the repository. I tried to plea for this today with my colleagues with very mixed resul

That's why power hungry devices are usually connected to a three phase plug. This aside, I think the best would have most outlet keeping the current national standards (let's not forget they deliver AC which is still need by a dec

In Switzerland we also see all these regional colas, plus some hyperlocal ones (Vivi cola). Some claim to be very old brands, but if you go and look you'll see that the brand were only recently revived after a long hiatus

I agree. I do remember that in earlier versions WSL2 this approach didn't work, but currently it's the same as installing docker on a regular Linux distribution

On windows I just use WSL2 with docker installed through the Linux distribution (Ubuntu in my case). This way I get docker on my windows Laptop without the annoying docker desktop

I think a (likely beneficial) long-term side effect will be to teach most people to be more skeptical of any artifacts, be it images, audio, video of text. Unfortunately I assume there will be a learning phase where we will pay dearly for t

Yes, the newer "pivot_wider" and "pivot_longer" are just much cleaner and nicer than the 25 different half-broken way you can use in pandas. Luckily I don't have to do a lot of data engineering anymore, because R is

I would think it's one of the most basic rules of benchmarking (or so I was thought during my earlier days as a student) that one should repeat the benchmark several time to smooth over the "randomness" inherent in the system
