I did it in my mid-to-late 30s. At that point, I had very little going for me. Now, I'm married, have a happy kid, have a decent job, and have just bought a house. It can definitely be done; you just need to be patient, love yourself,

VS Code is neither fast nor efficient. I'm not hating on it as I like it more than most Electron apps, but I use it on a laptop with a Core 2 Duo P8600 CPU (among other things) and it's pretty sluggish.

I think that was, at least partly, his intent. He even stated in the letter accompanying his first cipher that it would contain his identity, then when it was deciphered it said "I WILL NOT GIVE YOU MY NAME BECAUSE YOU WILL TRY TO SLOW

Also that the code is indecipherable because one of the ways they got the code size down is by playing code golf. I wouldn't call it jaded, I'd call it experienced.

Why does CPU usage matter? Just buy a faster CPU. Why does memory usage matter? Just buy more memory. Why does network bandwidth usage matter? Just get a faster Internet connection. Why does stability matter? If it crashes, just restart it.
