I don't think it's particularly "disguised as science-based" any more than, say, Christian apologetics groups like Answers in Genesis. Both groups seem pretty honest about the fact that their fundamental beliefs are reli

Many of us are concerned because when lots of people die, we think it's bad, even if those people "had other health issues." That doesn't seem so hysterical to me.

There are certain patterns that are illegal though, and presumably have legal penalties (maybe not jail time, but presumably at least fines). False advertising is the obvious example. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to support strengthening

It's easy to be post-lockdown but not post-pandemic. Many places in the United States have been doing this for weeks now, and we're seeing how that's going.

I think the biggest problem with using unit tests for this purpose is that unit tests tend to (rightfully) spend a disproportionate amount of lines of code on edge cases.

It seems to be fairly common for experienced programmers to point to unit test code as a way to explore or understand an open source software project. I don't doubt that this works for them, but it definitely doesn't work for me.

It doesn’t seem that outrageous. Clothing fashion changes, and while there is some tongue in cheek complaining about it, I think our brains are quite okay “retraining.” Same with musical trends changing. Surely we don’t just say “that’s gre

The level of skeuomorphic design never really hit the web the same as it was on iOS before version 7. Remember the pool table green felt and wood trim of Game Center? That sort of thing is probably extremely expensive to design and maintain

We're really just talking about deliberate communication here, and like with all communication, context is important. In general, the color of someone's clothes isn't communicating much, but it might be at a sporting event.
