graphene has said only flagships at first, but eventually they hope to end up on lower tier devices.

The future is now (or 2027)! 4" screen and hardware keyboard and graphene! https://www.clicks.tech/en/products/clicks-keyboard-for-moto... I cannot overstate my excitement.

Unlocked baotloaders are mandatory to install graphene, but so is the ability to re-lock the bootloader.

I think they recently finished reimplementing the swipe library so now it no longer requires blobs.

The coolest hacker-esque Pokémon ROM I've seen is InfiniteFusion [1]. Let's you combine Pokémon into original "fusions", in other words, there are over 200,000 Pokémon. Impressively well done and very fun with lots of us

Unfortunately many Motorola phones (even flagship) do NOT do video out.

Agreed. An IPS graphene phone would be perfect.

So do pixel 10 series with Graphene (though it is only a small improvement). All other pixels are even worse with zero mitigations.

I dont think grapheneos handles radio firmware on pixels, radios also not made in the US. I wonder if even apple does, as their radios are also not made in US.

Fantastic news, Motorola is known for prioritizing DC dimming on their screens, which many report significantly reduces eye strain [1]. I was never aware of the issue, I thought my switch to an OLED phone (iPhone xs) just coincided with ge

Dictionaries would be ruined if they could only use popular words. I guess you might be describing very early children's dictionaries, but I dont think that's your argument?

Not with corpus frequency. Just has to exist a single time in agreed upon dictionary.

Better analogy is the clawcake has no new ingredients, we've been cooking with the same ones for years now, and its a shame people are such terrible bakers that they are so impressed.

Maybe you're right, but my hunch is AI has increased the number of all types of projects, and would have to see some evidence that AI was disproportionately building TUIs. The trend of new TUIs was well known before coding agents wer

I don't understand your meaning. Github lists almost 5,000 TUIs released since January 1, 2026. [1] [1] https://github.com/search?q=Tui+created%3A%3E2026-01-01+&typ...

Good news they are making their own devices. But until then pixels are technically the most secure android devices and graphene would not be as robust on other devices.

I commented elsewhere but GrapheneOS on Pixels actively siphon resources from Google and is arguably a good protest against google. They subsidize Pixel hardware (to incentivize users to adopt their spyware OS), you (buying used obviously)

Most anti-google move: buy a second hand pixel, they receive no revenue on the device which is (assumed) already highly subsidized by google so that they can profit off users' data, then you use their subsidized hardware without runn

Seconded. Really hope the new Graphene device does not have terrible PWM. Battery benefit to OLED is great but not if I can't look at my phone.
