I saw a waymo break a red light yesterday in Nob Hill. I think they’re cool but I exercise extra caution around them. Besides, this is a study on Waymo probably influenced by them too to publish on their blog.

I don’t think it’s fair to count steam. Unlike Apple or Google app stores, where you basically HAVE to be on there to access the user base, a PC game can be downloaded and played without needing steam. A lot have their own “stores” like bat

The train will use shared tracks. I will bet one million dollars it will run into scheduling issues and when you’re stuck on land it will suck. Source: former Amtrack customer. Same story, and I doubt a project that’s been mismanaged so far

What about for cars and any other transport like ships, etc? If they have a simple system that makes integration as simple as AWS sdk while being cheaper and faster that would be cool.

I use AI/LLM to run thought experiments randomly or learn about topics. Sometimes I use it to help me with code (not to write code).

If it’s convenient like Prime then sure. I like the 5% back on the entire ecosystem plus watching Fallout and other cool shows.

It would suck to build a massive solar panel array only for it to break after an earthquake. Hopefully they are seismic proofed like many buildings there.

30 minutes is a lot between just the Bay Area when the entire flight between LA and SF takes 90 minutes. Not to mention, you have to get to and from the train station or airport. For example from where I live in SF, it takes about 20 minute

Right but have you flown for business every few days like that? It seems like you’re still thinking about leisure travel between LA and SF. My whole point was about business flight. Sure for leisure I’ll take a train. But if I’m flying for

I live in America. I’m sure Europe has nice trains. I’ve rode the best trains in the world in Japan. America is a completely different dynamic and is not at all comparable to Europe nor Japan. The culture here has always revolved around car

You know most of these are business travelers right? The last thing I want (as a former consultant who did like 400k plus miles flying) is to spend more time traveling. Not to mention flights booked out in advance are like sub 200 bucks, or

EdTech is a cool “idea” but most people don’t want to learn. It doesn’t scale imo, and it’s better to do it as charity for people in dire poverty who want a way out (no money in that). For those better off than that, I’d rather sell them st

Vercel is honestly meant for enterprise. The free/cheap tier is a cool toy. Vercel replaces the need to build out an expensive dedicated UI deployment/tooling team (like when your org has like 50 product teams working on a large e

What do you mean by scale? I think that's important to understand for both you and me to help you. Are you expecting millions of unique users per hour? More reads than writes? Do you have tons of data? Are you doing data analysis? Are

Ethics “concerns” from for-profit companies is 100% marketing and 0% real. Do people actually fall for these lol? Yes they do and it works to raise interest and get additional funding.
