For some reason people hate IKEA in the US. Was trying to sell a standing desk I bought there for 750$ and nobody wanted it. Ended up selling it for 150$. I also had a Jarvis and it was gone in an instant, even though the IKEA one was much

I had one once in my living room. I was pissed. The host told me it had written about it in the description. Sure enough it was there when I looked carefully. Still what the heck. In a Boston Airbnb with my parents visiting from abroad. I e

There's probably a very easy way to do it with cloudflare functions and github pages, but the problem is that everybody's stack is different.

Hero of my childhood. RIP. Also, if you've never read the Dragon Ball series, I URGE you to buy the first two books to get an idea of how amazing, cute, charming, funny, creative, the story was: https://www.amazon.com/D

That's what Facebook used to be. I think they really lost their ways when they went from "useful tool" to "let's try to get users to spend as much time as possible". I dream of a "facebook-like" app w

why do people say "outside of the US". Everybody I know in the US uses whatsapp

by baby 3y ago
yes why? Are all your friends in the same place in the world with the same phone number? That would seem odd

by baby 3y ago
Man I would lose contact with a lot of friends if that were to happen

Deeply agree with the sentiment. AIs are so throttled and crippled that it makes me sad every time gemini or chatgpt refuses to answer my questions. Also agree that it’s mostly policed by American companies who follow the American culture o

I’m very worried about these kind of things. I’ve worked on a number of projects that were not checking any of the licenses they were building on top of. As long as it’s open sourced people always assume that it’s OK to use it. I really wis
