If you think about it, this is one of the reasons I like macOS. Back then, buying a PC with windows meant having a lot of crap installed by default. Not sure if it's still the case because I haven't bought a PC in ages, but I reme

imagine having many lib.rs open?

by baby 3y ago
Open 5 libs.rs, which crate are you in? Always look at full path instead of filename. A mod.rs means a much more cleaner organization, as you know that all of a folder module's content is within that module, and you don't have to

mod.rs is better, change my mind

by baby 3y ago
IMO it’s not opinionated enough. Golang for example doesn’t let you customize go fmt, while Rust does. Rust also has many ways to do things in general (mod.rs vs name_of_folder.rs for example) and seems to not want to provide a useful basel

What is your experience with VR? Have you been to the movies in VR? Or played board games with other players? Have you done social chat applications?

Because you need to buy apps to make use of your VR headset. Lets put it this way, do you need an account to use your Iphone?

The Metaverse is what the Internet is if you add VR. It’s not hard to understand.

It’s crazy because if you try the Quest it’s quite insane how good it is already. If I were to guess what could give it an iPhone moment: - lighter/more comfortable - faster to get started when you put the headset on - more social expe

Why would they shut down the Metaverse? It’s clearly the future and Zuck brought it up again in the last podcast that people are linking to. Apple just release a bad headset that just confirmed the bet that Meta took

I had a similar thing happened to a paper of mine at the start of my career. Someone found an issue and published a paper to attack my paper. I felt like shit for a long time and thought about retracting. But then decided that my paper actu

It’s easy to populate your feed with things you specifically want to watch: watch the stuff you’re interested in and swipe on the things that don’t interest you.
