My opinion is that people are tired of the orders and that they will not change people’s behaviors.

This is bad reasoning. If everyone produces less by the same amount, then even if you produce no less than the next person, the overall production has gone down.

Stop putting it all on the federal government. It’s also state government’s fault. California only thinks in terms of lockdowns even after all these months. Also look at people’s personal behaviors. I saw more and more people walking around

It is dense, multi family housing and having to work at jobs that expose you to other people. It isn’t directly race or age.

The problem with Berkeley is that you can’t get to other areas quickly. BART and the Bay Bridge sucked pre pandemic.

Berkeley's walkable area is actually pretty extensive. The others are less so. Berkeley's walkable area encompasses all of Telegraph Avenue down to Ashby (Berkeley Bowl) (South), all of downtown (West), the perimeter of the UC Ber

I co-oped at IBM in south San Jose as well. My roommates also co-oped at IBM and either rode bikes like I did or had a car. We would ride our bikes to the light rail which were a little more frequent than once an hour. We also rode our bike

Is this what is actually happening? We should look at the statistics as to where people move to. From what I can tell, people are actually mostly moving to other tech hubs (but lower priced) and to high end vacation areas. Think Austin, Den

I think we should expect nations to manipulate other nation’s elections as well. The US has a long history of doing that yet is horrified when other nations do it to us.

All sorts of edge cases here to handle. Its not just a bald head. What happens if there are multiple balls? What happens if the ball is redesigned with a different pattern? What happens if someone wears a shirt with a picture of a ball? Doe

They need enough to pay for teachers, administrators, facilities, and the supplemental education that better off folks love: debate, music, sports, speech therapy, early reading help, etc... That extra money has very high return.

Another hack. Claim residency in another state or country. Voila your personal income tax for the property disappears and you can live in the home for one day less than six months out of the year. This proposal would be a vacation home reba

That’s a scam like most of the other propositions. Most of this year’s propositions are poison laced candy. They offer you one thing and take away something far more valuable. Go read the whole proposition. They supposedly let you do it 3 t

Way to screw over renters with an additional tax. That sure sounds regressive to me. The owners are generally much richer than the renters.

Time for the international buyers to buy housing en masse, rent it out, and not pay your income tax. The renters would be stuck paying the income tax and the international buyers would just pay the parcel tax. So renters would be stuck payi

What if a corporation owns the property? If you do this, I would transfer the property to a corporation and then rent it back to myself for a $1 a year. The corporation would have only $1 of income per year. This is so badly thought out.
