The Japanese religiously follow the 3 C's ( https://www.mhlw.go.jp/content/3CS.pdf ) which happens to be the major way the virus spreads.

Paywalled. Herd immunity is not one strict number. It depends on the transmissibility of the virus. Alpha was more. Delta is much more. Now A.Y variant is slightly more than Delta. All these affect the herd immunity number. But you can'

The moment he uses that word, his impartiality goes out of the window. Viruses adapt, the science adapts. You give your best information at that point and you don't want to muddy the public with confidence intervals and all that.

This is called slippery slope argument. George Washington ordered his troops to be vaccinated. It's been the case for centuries and pretty much why a lot of us are alive now.

Except it's not. You can drink 15 gallons of Coke every day and that's your right. But you can't be a vector of transmissible diseases.

The silver lining with Delta is it's such a transmissible variant that it out-competes the more slowly spreading but more vaccine evasive variants. I hope we never see a more transmissible one than Delta

Well, it's not the vaccines that protect you (because no vaccine is 100% efficacious) but it's the vaccination. Good luck!

Measles, Mumps, Diphtheria, Meningococcal Meningitis & Bordetella Pertussis are all having a party. Dear Cali expats to Texas, is it worth it?

You are against (anti-) taking a vaccine (-vaxxer). (The concern is just some internet dude on Facebook claiming he's discovered something really evil about Big Pharma)

He didn't lose his job for voicing a political opinion. He lost his job because they started having real financial impact (contractors dropping out etc.). Are you going to decree that others are forbidden to react to his comments?

Stop the tin-foil hat nonsense. Joe Rogan is not an expert. He refused the vaccine. There is no one out to get you. Hundreds of anti-vax, pro-horse-dewormer patients are dying due to COVID.

Right. I think Rust was the first to propose “?” operator as a syntactic sugar to Result and Option monads. (i am not 100% though) ref: https://m4rw3r.github.io/rust-questionmark-operator
