There are multiple Qira'aat (recitations) of the Quran, all of which have sound chains of narrations back to the Prophet, Peace be upon him. The variations among certain Ayat (verses) do not change the overall meaning of them. For inst

There are lot of baseless and uncited claims in your post. The blog post you cited took a few verses from the Quran, and attempted to deduce rulings out of them, without going back to what scholars know. > For some reason this is not hap

Do you think Java or a JVM language have been better suited for this task instead of C?

Sure, but shouldn't safety be the number one concern here? Programmers can always be trained to learn it, as long as they demonstrate competence. It seems like an unfortunate case of trying to cut costs at the cost of safety.

Isn't Ada precisely suited for this sort of application? What was the motivation for switching to C?

The Yammer switch happened quite a while ago. The language now is more stable and performant. Other than these two isolated incidents, there isn't really anything to "notice".

I'm assuming it's to unify the `apply()` operation between collections (maps, sequences, arrays, etc). The collection library derives from a trait hierarchy, and an array is one of these collection types.
