Exactly my experience and others on the team I'm in. golang is extremely verbose as to detract from the underlying logic.

You don't get stack traces with wrapping errors, which means exceptions are still strictly superior.

I find golang much harder to read due to its extreme verbosity that detracts away from the logic the code is trying to do.

Drunk driving is illegal, drinking isn't. Just because drunk driving is illegal doesn't mean people care or are trustworthy to abide. The stats speak for themselves. And as I mentioned, it's not just drunk driving, but homici

It's incredibly offensive. They're projecting how English works on gendered nouns onto other language (Spanish) and then getting worked up over it. It's astounding that the people pushing the term don't see the irony.

Interest doesn't have to be money, it's any benefit received for giving a loan. In this case, the benefit received is staying in the apartment unit in exchange for the loan.

My guess is that golang's GC is optimized for latency at the expense of throughput, limiting the max memory size.

I'm not sure what their answer means. They used a similar hand wavy answer about why the language has null pointers. "Complication" here refers to how complicated their implementation of the compiler is, not the end user comp

It's so weird why they're adding a slices package instead of making them functions on the slice itself. They did the same with strings. Compare strings.ToUpper(strings.Replace(strings.Trim(s), "a", "b")))

I can't tell if what you're suggesting is serious. Very presumptuous to assume that the liberal Western philosophy is the "true" way and the "moral" way. It isn't, not even by a 100 miles.
