You don't need the tamper protections to apply to the whole SoC, you just need the trusted element (TPM, SE, whatever you call it) to be physically isolated from the rest of the system and include tamper protections.

TrustZone is iffy security-wise, and built-in SEs have only been available for iPhones and the highest-end quarter or so of Android phones until recently.

It is absolutely true. COVID isn't the army-crippling societal disaster it was in 2020, but it's still a really really nasty virus. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/leading-causes-of-death.htm

Because COVID is insanely contagious. The non-specific measures we took (social distancing, masking, &c) absolutely crushed the flu, but only maintained partial control over COVID spread pre-vaccine.

For the most part, these problems only pop up when you try to render RTL text visually, and then copy it back out from UI elements. In internal pipelines, however, it's just another string of opaque bytes that you perform a few very we

The map for Europe is a map of organizational/bureaucratic boundaries within the ENTSO-E; the world map on that page correctly omits regions not connected to the big synchronized grids. Alaska, similarly, is a set of two isolated grids

There are multiple competing authorities, but they are absolutely authorities, and their versions of individual texts are extremely close to each other. Most notably, for the actual list of books there's the Catholic Church for the

That's relevant to the Bible, or Shakespeare, or the MCU, because those works' authors have authority in a way the Brothers Grimm do not have authority over folklore.

This is a subthread about the median income that we would compare the $7M payout to, not the $7M payout itself. It certainly falsifies the graph paulluuk linked to, and using high CA taxes on the Bay 12 payout only further undermines paullu

Yeah, one of the reasons I like builders' remedy is it flips the courts' status quo bias on its head - the thing that's tired up in court is city limitations, not construction. That endless delay, even then anti-construction

Not just if someone sues. If a lawyer takes the case for someone who sues. But yeah, this is James Dolan, he's banned people for refusing to take jobs before.

Making the ban be for fewer venues would be way easier. Or just, like, not doing this at all. This is James Dolan, the owner of Madison Square Garden, being petty as usual and banning people from the venue who annoy him. e.g. Spike Lee for

Protection from what? The lawsuit has nothing to do with the MSG venue, but rather with a restaurant somewhere else that MSG owns; and this lawyer isn't working on that case anyway.

Not so easy to enforce, because most ticketing systems don't require the name of every single attendee. Adding that requirement would be really really bad for the sales funnel, and also require tickets to be 100% non-transferable. And
