We do, there are people making web browsers that do unique things or work in unique ways. Note that innovation in my view is trying something new, I don't believe it needs to succeed necessarily. https://bonsaibrowser.com

Oh maybe it depends per person but I'm the kind of person who needs to know how bitter it is (like you!) And it lasted for maybe 30 seconds, maybe it's different if you realllllyyy get into it but I wouldn't advise that anywa

As a hobbyist, just do whatever you feel most comfortable with. React is designed for businesses to work on large applications. It can be nice to use if you know it well enough, but you certainly don't need it. There is nothing you can

As someone with ADHD who was never taught how to handle time.. I think something like this would be very valuable. I don't need _better_ ways to timeblock my day, I need _any_ way to timeblock my days that actually works...

Streamers as well as web cam models _aren't_ allowed to play random music, they just do. The only time it's allowed is when they have the appropriate licenses. (sync license under DMCA for music synchronized to live streams) Strea

What always perplexes me about AI is that while the neuron models may be reasonably representative of how neurons work in brains, the connections are not similar at all. Deep learning uses layers. All neurons in layer one connect to layer 2

I think we're getting closer to a time where smaller players can start competing in the search engine space. Recently here on HN someone launched a search editor for small, niche, seo-free, old, content/text-heavy websites. It

You're making the same mistake all star eyed futurists-skeptics make, which is to not realize that in reality, new sigmoidal curves are started all over the place. It's just a matter of time and survival. How long? I don't kn

I'm not educated well enough to really agree or disagree with your idea that we should be adding several orders of magnitude to the estimation. But I did encounter this article a while ago here on HN. Only two neurons are necessary to

Yeah I get that, and I think that's the primary reason it's difficult to do well. I think there _are_ ways to do it right. For instance, open-sourcing a Windows application is not necessarily problematic if 99.9% of your user base
