I sympathize with the author, they have a gTLD that is being treated differently then more common TLDs. But it's hardly ICANN's place to get involved. The biggest issue here is usability. People make typo's often and software

And in quantum mechanics, we don't even know if spacetime is quantized right? People usually talk about planck length as some quantized length but it's just a scale where quantum effects are significant.
