To me, many design decisions they have taken with respect to hardware are incomprehensible. It doesn't look like a premium quality laptop. Very few can pull it off like Apple. (I have never owned an Apple laptop.)

2nd law of thermodynamics only applies on macroscopic scale. So not really inevitable. Plus, the laws of physics are based on a set of axioms, which don't necessarily have to be true.
