I recognize editor preferences is a deeply personal taste but it's been very different for me. :) I used to swear by IntelliJ but after taking a day to configure Sublime Text (and then vim), I very much prefer them.

That is a absolutely horrible idea for frameworks that Drupal. That essentially implies that someone has arbitrary write access to your servers and is free to modify things as he or she wishes.

Exactly. As an active open source contributor I'll be very insulted if someone offers this to me without me opting in. If I want money I look for jobs or clients. Literally any other job in the world will pay more than this ever will.

Like any high volume channels, you have to ruthlessly curate your Twitter feed. Be picky about who you follow and block the trolls. Twitter is a pretty useful source of information after that. I usually see hints of upcoming vulnerabilities

Sure, but producing quality video content and code samples in addition to a quality book adds even more time to an already long process. A discussion forum or mailing list implies continuous effort in engaging with your audience. Not quite
