There would have been unlucky guesses as well as lucky guesses. It's incredibly unlikely that the first guess was correct, and that there were no guesses before or after that.

Who writes the job advertisement? That seems like a good place to put desirable experience like "independent projects in X".

Way back when everyone played Quake, there was no central server list, and GameSpy was how you found new servers. I installed it and kept it upgraded a number of years, until I no longer needed it.

I don't think that solved the problem of cost, it simply changes who pays for it. Less scarcity, lower barriers to entry, and more competition are what decrease costs. That could be done with the government paying, but it's harder.

The problem is the number of PhD's doing "nothing" after education is going up. "You don't need a PhD to do nothing, man. Take a look at my cousin: he's a dropout, don't do shit."

The footnotes wouldn't have made any sense all the way at the end. My favorite footnotes on a webpage are when you can hover over the superscript, and have the note floating there. That way, they wouldn't interrupt the reading.

You can look at the DC Code from links here http://dc.gov/DC/Government/DC+Courts+&+Laws/DC+Laws , but you cannot have it to re-use or republish. The guy posting does a lot with open maps, so he probably wants to reuse the data in mo

I was wondering if they took their font from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, or if they both took it from the same place.

The disagreement is over the definition of "advertisement". Is creating a link to something "advertising" it? If the words were the same, but not hypertext, is it still advertising? It was kind of funny how most of the page is linked, it'

Interesting; I finished A Handmaid's Tale last week, and the same thing had happened to the main character's family. Everybody had stopped keeping cash, and without their bank card working they were powerless.

If Tesla sold millions of these cars, lots of people would not read the web page or manual about special maintenance conditions. It makes perfect sense to write a review from the perspective of average or below intelligence.

I think the only goal is to show more advertisements, especially shopping advertisements. It's nice having more than one big company for search/webmail/etc.

There are some basic C++ and C# Minecraft clients that people made for fun, but the real benefit of Java is how mod-able it is. There's actually a lot of tools for taking apart the minecraft.jar and putting it back together with new featur
