The gas generators are what make the hum that people complain about; I'd expect the outside of a data center to be quiet without those. Better for the extra natural gas to power data centers than to "accidentally" leak into t

So far so good, for personal use; they have the lowest renewal prices for top level domains.

I'd modify this to "all warrantless surveillance", so not just cameras. Warrantless surveillance should not be allowed for private activity, and making it public helps audit that.

Billions of dollars sounds like a literal "big deal", but not necessarily "a problem". Worst case for nVidia is they lose 2 billion dollars, NBD.

Sometimes we hate incorrect usage of the word "literally" as much as we hate apathy to a billion people suffering. The Gaia hypothesis is science fiction compared to climate catastrophe, which is real.

Maybe someone is paid per scrape, without reduction in payment for duplicates. Maybe every web query for Linux commands in $LARGE_COUNTRY checks all the Linux websites again.

Picture of a lost iPhone, with a message to call the owner at a phone number. Guess taking pictures was in the job description, and returning lost property wasn't.

It'd be responsible of them to say that they can only provide 1 million downloads on the first day, or whatever the limits of their contract with the CDN says. Evidence that it's fake!

My naive perspective is that bandwidth will increase linearly with the number of visible players. I get that the people doing the work know better than people who haven't, I'm open to learning more and can't make any ironclad

Why are all 1000 players visible to each other at once? The numbers I quoted were worst case, not a baseline. Streaming sounds and FX every single time and never caching is a choice that will lead to 10Mbps, but completely unnecessary. A
