Accuracy is improving rapidly though. I agree that the current accuracy levels are not high enough to be relied upon. > Humans ... they will usually recognize total blunder I question this assumption. I don't believe this is true, e

I don't see a difference. Large language models can also return their sources, as in the example on the Gopher blog post. This will lead to a quicker answer and equal transparency.

The closer we get to artificial intelligence, the more we raise the bar for what qualifies as AI (as we should). Gopher/GPT-3 are already much more accurate than the average human at technical information retrieval (trivial to see from

Apple Glasses, if they ever come to fruition, would be a textbook play for Apple. As with the iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and even ARM laptops, they weren’t the first in the market in terms of technology but they were the first to make

I believe there are real estate ETFs that can easily be shorted. Many of the more complex contracts and instruments still exist, there are just more limitations on how banks can invest in them.

While this sounds plausible, I think there are a couple of factors that work against this theory: 1) Why layoff your data science division if they are predicting with accuracy? 2a) If you have enough conviction to call the top of the market

As others have said, this is the way ML is headed and it has been clear for the last couple of years. Assuming a multi-task and multi-modal architecture is achievable, won't we reach a point in the future where preprocessing data is ju

It would be interesting to know if blind or blind-folded dogs also exhibit this behaviour. My intuition is that head-tilting behaviour is more analogous to how we (humans) look up and the to left/right when concentrating. That feels le

Great question. The account only exists to manage the payment and subscription. I toyed with the idea of providing the service for free but it is very compute intensive. Each model takes approximately 20-30s on a modern GPU.
