Uncanny Valley doesn't apply. It would apply if they put a skin-and-fur-like shell over the body and tried to give it a life-like head, with eyes, nose, mouth and tongue, and it looked almost perfect, but not quite good enough to pass

I'd be careful and try to recognise that the concentration of Apple-focussed development environments that you observe in the SF Bay area is not a reasonable reflection of the developer community at large. Windows still holds the great

When you decentralise something, you tend to take away moderation and curation, which keep the general quality of offerings above a certain bar. I'd be curious what the author of this project suggests in this regard, or what measures h

Rubbish. Write a thin abstraction layer between your app and the Chain API and should you wish to switch in the future, change the implementation of the abstraction layer to point at your bitcoind server or something else.

The difference here is that with Bitcoin, it is impossible for any centralized service to monopolize the space or take away a user's power to manage their own money. Unlike banks and so forth, if you want to make a transaction or take

I'd be quite curious how the AdSense revenue has dropped off since 2006, as the platform has evolved a lot since then, not to mention people have had a long time to get used text-based contextual advertising.

I find it extremely frustrating how many services (Microsoft included!!) won't allow me to use spaces in my passwords. Why on earth do they care which characters I choose for my passwords? So much for "correct horse battery staple

Agreed, TypeScript is great, but the compiler is excruciatingly slow. I have to segment my app into multiple sub-build areas and only build a subset at a time, which is annoying because I frequently end up making small changes outside of th

I think you'll find a large proportion of people who have ordered the dev kit have done so just for a taste of what's to come. And I'm sure OculusVR don't mind at all because the sales generate additional revenue and PR
