Here's my perspective as the friend of someone who became addicted to WoW: I lost a potential programming buddy/co-founder. we used to collaborate on projects, but eventually WoW took up all his spare time. We both graduated with CS degre

I always like to think of working at a start up as akin to attending a relatively cheap graduate program where you may or may not get your degree after you complete all the coursework.

Well that's obvious, right? But that's an inferior solution to CL supporting bookmarking. Why would I want to clutter up my Browser with temporary CL bookmarks that I will have to delete at a later time? Not good UX.

What was with the focus on events that happened at specific dates? I understand the importance of knowing when events happened relative to each other, but memorizing dates seems a bit much. Perhaps the lack of easy access to reference mat

I would amend this to something more like: find customers first, then build the thing they want in simplest way that satisfies their needs.

I have an app running on Heroku. Interestingly, it caches itself using HTML 5 application cache, so most people won't even notice the site is down. Need to make sure the background network ops are fault tolerant though.
