After reading all the answers, have an observation. Not many startup founders have replied. Most are FAANG employees. Some similar roles in other product companies. One/two consultants. And one hedge fund guy.

Is it using some other localization technique to complement the GPS? GPS at best can give accuracy within 3 meters (if I remember right). To make it accurate, laser/radar beams are shot out to the landmarks, of which precise co-ordinat

I agree, another option is needed for a previous social network to die. Hope whatever is the next one is a federated one, that works like emails (SMTP) under the hood.

If the replacement is a federated social network, then there may be 2/3 large competing players for the interfacing part. My dream is a cryptocurrency based social network, so that those running p2p nodes can also get paid. Also the en

Mixed feelings on this one. Most of them are likely to be scams as its so easy to do. But there are also things like the Brave browser[1] with its BAT(Basic Attention Token)[2], which am very excited about. With the Ad revenue on Internet f

I understand. And that's why even in my post I said 'good earnest'. But I feared by OP's last comment that he was beginning to take the advise seriously. So I thought my duty to put an affirming point.

I would say, ignore both of them (the HNers advising you above in good earnest). You will cross that bridge if/when there is a need. The disruption to a happy phase can come in various guises. Don't mend if it ain't broke, th

May be filter HN, for not reading stories that make you feel worse about yourself. I just looked at my saved stories, based on that, I would say "not, at all" to leaving HN. Sample below: 1. Ethereum programming for web developer

I think competition is wired into us, so you are not the only one who goes through this. Just try to keep it within a healthy range. Enough to know what's going on, but less than what gets you worked up about it. Not easy. Personally,

Thanks for that link, I didn't know that. But in any case, my point is not that H1B can't be an issue for any case. But that Startups scene in India got a boost around 2005-2007, when many companies started, and it was nothing to
