It's not exactly my area of expertise. In the UK, infra-red cameras on helicopters are used to identify houses with 'hot' roofs. It would seem nonsensical to do this if electricity companies could easily identify theft. As pa

Well most illegally grown marijuana uses large amounts of stolen electricity (absolute control of temperature and lighting is a must to get the highest yield). I'm guessing it would not be profitable to grow it otherwise (or not as pro

Somebody needs to come up with a better way of converting solar energy into a transportable liquid. I'm guessing this is as good as it gets for now.

I think it's really important to understand the impact cycle helmets have. They negatively impact the number of people cycling. They enforce the perception that cycling is dangerous. Finally, as the study showed, they are designed to o

I didn't use App Ops. Did it allow a general policy to be set? I can see you can set permission per app from the screen shot. I'm not sure I buy Google's excuse. Any app worth it's salt should be able to cope with not ha

Feedlots use corn to fatten the beef herd before slaughter. Feeding a high corn diet to cattle can cause acidosis of the Rumen stomach (one the four compartments in cattle stomachs). You can prevent this through feeding a more balanced feed

Would it be useful to have a 'show me the cheapest' button? The range in cost hints at the massive variance. The US is crazy. How does a procedure costing 4k in one place cost 120k in another?
