Nope, but hosting an NPM mirror does do that, or mirroring the packages that you use in your projects if you want to skip the full mirror. So you can combine that + shrinkwrapping to get the same benefits.

npm-shrinkwrap covers one of the main strengths of checking code into source control, without actually needing to check in to version control. It locks versions down for your direct dependencies AND their dependencies, same as checking int

I had this similar problem, but I solved it in a different way by creating a module outside of the node_modules folder, and putting a symlink in the node_modules folder. Read here to see how I broke this down http://winder.ws&#x

I understand how this could be really frustrating. We solved this problem (well, we never really had it, but we solved the ability of this problem to come up) by having a suite of unit and functional webui tests. Combined that with a CI env

I think the question is where you want to say that the jQuery plugin should load before jQuery. If you have 20 jQuery plugins, which cross-leverage some of the same dependencies, and then all rely on jQuery -- do you want to rely on orderi

To the point of module loaders making it difficult to understand load order, I'm not sure I understand the problem. The load order is pretty much trivial since I'm loading modules that don't execute on load. They execute on t

I guess it depends on what the use case is for configuration, but I'm envisioning times you want to allow for user/developer configurability of your program, or an installation being able to write out values that your program can

The part that casually drops "PHP as a config language" is where this jumped the shark for me. I guess this isn't the worst practice I've seen in PHP, but it's definitely a notable one.

Definitely agree with this. The function passed to the inject() method where you set up your controller and inject mocks seems to have a bunch of repetition in the unit test suites I've been writing. You can use $provide ( http:/
