I was about to write this exact post. This is the main reason I use Arch Linux. Arch just follows upstream without worrying about holy wars. There are dozens of ways Ubuntu can innovate/differentiate. Fighting a holy way of Mir vs Wayl

Yes but it's really messy. Only 1 host, no 'production' traffic, and if you want to run RHEL in production, you're left with a mix of CentOS/RHEL machines all over. Compare that to startups that use Ubuntu everywher

I find that strange. CentOS is supposed to be downstream. They're not supposed to do anything except compile from Red Hat sources. Are you suggesting that Red Hat fixed the issue, released the source code, and CentOS compiled and publi

Glad this is finally out. I still think Red Hat should just make their builds completely free without a subscription, and charge only for support. CentOS then wouldn't need to exist (and neither would Oracle Linux). That would help it

Right, but there is no SoC that can compete with Apple's A10 fusion SoC. Google just buys off the shelf Qualcomm parts, and they are far slower, especially when you take into account that the Google phones need even more horsepower bec

Rumours are that the smaller version (Pixel) will cost $649, with the Pixel XL costing $749. Ridiculous. You don't compete with Apple by copying their pricing. Compete by having a better SoC, better camera/screen etc..
