Its so big you could fit a large fan on it and just run it at absurdly low speed. No way you are going to hear it unless you are a mouse and i'm sure you'd get a lot more performance.

Antisocial behavior has been on the rise since the pandemic. You aren't imagining that part. Fight on planes, petty theft, car accidents, murder all up. Not so sure about the rest of your complaints.

If your first two statements are correct I can't see how the third can't be. If we choose our password from only ~24 chars then you can get the same effect of 100K iterations form just 4 more characters, or ~1 more dictionary word

I still haven't seen a clear explanation of how the # of iterations scales in relation to password length. If it is true a few extra characters is as good as having sky-high iterations, the guidance should be on 'forcing' use

In my use case the complex, scientific equipment is spread around the world. Low volume though. I planned to offer support remotely rapidly with HoloLens.

I really wanted to use HoloLens for remote support. Too bad they never really looked like they would support it for wider use. We are a small company that sells very complex equipment to labs around the world. The users are smart / PhD

Can a business have its ads seen just in its local geographic area without targeting?

The popularity of these services is good evidence to the contrary. Also you are assuming you can have 'same' service after banning targeting. That remains to be seen. Also, you could consider disagreeing without being rude.

This seems: Good for megacorps who don't need targeting and can be pay less for ads. Bad for small/niche advertisers who do need targeting. Neutral for the vast majority of consumers who don't appear to care about tracking.

That's fascinating. It would seem to set up a situation where your incentive, if you suspect a Ponzi scheme, is to quietly withdraw your money early then keep your mouth shut. Unfortunate if true.

Look, I understand most of you here are on the employee side, but please try and think through how this works in the real-world. And not for mega-corps, but smaller business who have ~0% chance of litigating a trade secrets case. There are

If linearly proportional then it is approximately equal to one extra character. OK, thanks. I'm not sure to whom the rest of your response is addressed, this was a technical question.

This seems pretty cool, esp for a newbie to know how to put down a circuit. I use http://www.circuitlab.com and find it to be quite good for laying down parts and doing simulation including time-dependence and with parameters. V

We use windows at work because people need MS Office, CAD, and because it is the easiest platform for me to develop desktop apps for our scientific equipment. Win 10 issues in this vein were a bit annoying but no too terrible I've been
