Good question. Too many variables to predict what will happen: - The user base may not shrink, if they figure out how to build a competitor to TikTok. - Some of the new projects may bring more users - They can monetize WhatsApp

Here is the Facebook growth for the last 4 years: 2018 2019 2020 2021 37.35% 26.61% 21.60% 37.18% This does not look like a dying company. The article is very quick to jump to conclusions. The silicon valley

My guess: Tibco has been owned by Vista for 6 or more years. They trust the management and they'll use them to reorg Citrix - reducing finance, HR and marketing expenses.

Tibco is owned by Private Equity, not VCs. Very different type of companies. VCs own a company on its way up, PE onws its way down. Some times a company is sold immediately from VCs to PE. In some rear occasions a company owned by PE can g

I worked on both cloud computing and on premise project. Before cloud computing the risks were different: - much harder to scale. It was much more common to over provision and have machines and bandwidth being unused for years. - when we w

My comments are directed at the general performance of Video and Audio components. Zoom implements their own protocol which performs better than the WebRTC. Their codecs are also better optimized, on of the reasons being that VP8 lacks hard

Thank you for the detailed answer. These are really interesting use cases, which I didn't think about. For the local government sessions, it seems that a webinar product is a better option.

I don't work for Zoom, so this will be my best guess. WebRTC supports VP8 and h264, but it really depends on the platform. h264 is not free and may not be available. The screen capture API will give them a video stream which they need
