I'm curious, why did it flop? Internal coordination issues? NLP tech not being ready yet?

This is fascinating; I (well, with some support from my advisor IIRC!) implemented some things like this in latex for my thesis, but it was very limited. It still did help me keep track of all the variables and letters. I'm curious why

I'd be interested in chatting about this at some point. What you are considering re. meaningful aggregation and summarization is connected to my thesis here: https://medium.com/@aviv/when-we-change-the-efficiency-o

It's ideal to look at any such individual study within the broader context of the literature. The best way I currently know do do that is searching Connected Papers e.g. https://www.connectedpapers.com/main/e29e41

This is sorta true. But it turns out there that there are always targets, even if they aren't explicit (is there a name for this law?). So whether you have a recommendation system or a chronological feed or whatever other way you wan

A few issues with this: > The mistake here is seeing a counter-argument as being against a person, rather than as against a particular artifact. What matters is what’s out there. This is not how it works in most of real life. There are p

I agree in theory for SEO mills... but it can apparently go a bit overboard! Concrete personal example: - Title shown by Google: "Policymaking Beyond Corporate CEOs and Partisan Pressure" - Original title: "Towards Platform D

I had this problem recently, was hoping there was a reasonable fix but it appears not... (the H1 already contains the title) I don't think about SEO, and just focus on useful writing / societal impact. However, I recently discover

Google can do a much better job of making clear what is out of scope. When I first saw this headline I was also surprised and outraged. Looking more closely, this is just about distribution , probably in terms of "content hosting&qu

There is an insight around messaging which I think this is getting at, or at least which I've been particularly excited about: 1. It is useful to be able to navigate conversations by topic (and sub-topics etc.). AKA making the search&#

I'd love to see an equal amount of the effort put toward initiatives like this, also being put toward mitigating their extremely likely negative societal impacts (and putting in safeguards). Of course, that's not nearly as sexy.
