Tizen is primarily for phones that straddle the line between dumbphones and smartphones -- not quite direct competition.

Funny - the other day I showed a friend the top-of-the-line SAMSUNG Series 9 Ultrabook, which outspecs and outclasses Macbooks, but is slightly more expensive - guess what he said? "But at this price, you could get a Macbook!"

I don't think some of the rules "scale" that well in India... like the 100-attendee limit.

I guess you meant "was slow." As of now, the Android emulator ships with an Intel Atom image that uses Intel HAXM tech for native execution (and is much faster than using the ARM image/emulator) on an x86 machine.

Probably because the "squares" have a very small target area and most people either use the scroll button if they're using a mouse or scroll gestures if they're using a touchpad. I'm pretty sure they have detailed information about this fro

That's fine? $200 (a figure I saw quoted somewhere for a single college coursebook) is more than the annual fees for some government-run colleges here (in India.)

Well, I guess it also depends upon "where" on Earth people put stuff on their SD cards. The (mobile data) speeds I get here (in India), even on 3G aren't good enough for streaming video. Keeping that in mind 16G isn't too much.

A quick look at the "About FairSearch.org" page ( http://www.fairsearcheurope.eu/about-fairsearch-org ) reveals that the organisations behind this either operate vertical search engines, or are Google's rivals (in general.) Not cool.

Right. But the problem with Google and most other cloud service providers is that they provide services to a large number of "customers," many of whom don't pay a dime. So, their entire corporate structure is set up with that in mind and th

Then you'd have to pay for the services they provide. The reason banks can afford to have support staff is because they're paid (quite a lot) for the services they provide (directly or indirectly.) Not so for Google or Microsoft (Google's p

I don't know about you, but almost all Android tablets I've seen have one (or two.) This (rather popular low-end tablet in India): http://www.hclmetablet.com/ , for example has one too. It's a regular USB port and no adapters are required.
