It’s not bad, but if you feel strongly against it, you’re not missing out on much. Overcoming the psychological resistance to meditate is probably not worth it.

It’s a common enough effect that it should be noted. Many spiritual people end up being detached from the world, for better or worse.

I like open source, but I think society wanting things for free (and thinking they deserve things for free) can have adverse side effects.

TeXMacs is also a great WYSIWYG alternative[1]. My current setup tho is org-mode + cdlatexmode + mathpix.el [2-4]. Then writing latex isn’t that bad. [1] https://www.texmacs.org/tmweb/home/welcome.en.html [2] htt

I wonder how much this principle holds with respect to real life stories, which is filled with irrelevant details. Of course you can render true stories to have a dramatic version.

Just to add some nuance: simplicity might be a boon for someone/company/industry working with multiple languages, but if you live in the, say, Java world, complexity may pay off for the native residents. For instance, natural lang

A more generalized version is that beliefs can be used by other beliefs as a resource. Thus beliefs, especially persistent ones, are often minimally about their truth value, and more about their role in the mind's structured web of bel
