It's funny how each standard is made to "last as long as possible without needing to be redesigned". LTE stands for "long term evolution" - as in "we made this standard so that it will be possible to evolve it

Requirements for 5G are getting equally ridiculous [1]. 5 ms latency and 100 devices per square meter? Whenever I hear something like that, I like to outline a meter by meter of empty floor space and ask people what they imagine 100 devices

In fact no, I was not aware of Allwinner GPL violations when I was buying it (which was about 2 years ago). If I knew about them, it might have affected my decision. I publish most of my software under GPL (check my blog and GitHub accounts

It would also be interesting to know how eMMC compares to the SATA interface that used to be available on old Allwinner SoCs before they canned it. I bought a CubieTruck (Allwinner A20) and a SATA SSD drive simply because it seemed to be th

You are correct and that point in the article caught my attention as well. Fourier transform works perfectly OK if you redefine sine and cosine functions to have different periods. That's basically equivalent to a variable substitution

The "Minimum feature size" slide included in this article shows some feature sizes for existing technologies. I think names like "14 nm" and "7 nm" are mostly marketing at this point. http://www.anan
