I like how "Am I affected by the bug?" part checks your user agent string for "Linux" and says "yes" or "no" accordingly. As if I wasn't reading that page from a phone while running Linux on a se

Time is on the vertical axis (labeled with kernel versions that were released at that time instead of date). Horizontal axis is just an arbitrary bug number. It seems bugs are ordered first by severity and then by time they were fixed.

Seems to be a Debian-specific bug with Fira Sans font. I filed a bug report here: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=841293

I was referring to this part: Y = *(uint32_t*)s - 0x30303030; By casting a string to a uint32_t, you are assuming the memory layout of uint32_t. Y will have a different value depending on architecture. E.g. on a typical little-endi

This is quite clever. The catch is that it assumes implementation specific details (like a little-endian architecture) while OP's code is (probably) portable C.

Interestingly, it seems dial-up is still an option for me, technically speaking. My laptop (a ~4 year old HP EliteBook) came with a built-in analogue modem (never used, but I do see a /dev/ttyACM that responds to AT commands) and

We used to have an old EPROM (the UV-erasable kind) programmer in the lab. I remember it also had a mode for testing 74xx series logic. I don't think it was ever used in that capacity though.
