I at least don't expect anything from FB. I must also say Uber's CS is absolute garbage. I just cannot believe how bad they are. I have been unable to use uber for weeks and have been reaching out to them non-stop every few days.

I bought bitcoin for a few dollars. When it was around $1500 and I was a broke college student I sold. I'm not even upset, I have negative feelings towards crypto in general and that was a part of reason for selling. Everyone I know wh

I used to work in a PC repair shop with a guy that was extremely nerdy about hardware and overclocking. I still remember him cooling a CPU with dry ice to see how far he could push it. It was great times.

My IQ is 125 and I feel the same......I love solving problems but only if I feel like they are real world problems. I did extremely well in algo classes in school.....but since then I have built actual applications that run businesses and h

I completely disagree. I like games that cater towards players who build skill vs some random chance of winning. Then again I like sim racing, which is like real racing but at home :).

Have you considered moving? I have dual citizenship so I plan on leaving the US at some point. EU is much more reasonable when it comes to cost of healthcare and living. I do thing every American should have access to at least basic healthc

F1 cars are a marvel of engineering. For example, Mercedes hires about 1000+ people. It is absolutely insane how much is happening behind the scenes. It is also a very demanding place to work for everyone involved.

This is such a bad take. Reproducing is such an important part of a society and humanity in general. Imagine everyone decided to be child free, what do you think would happen to the country you live in? Countries with negative population gr

Not always the case. In Dominican Republic I was told to just use an online booking site as it was much cheaper than doing it in person. Their own site was also more expensive than expedia.

Very cool. I really enjoy people who don't start out as programmers but at some point in their life "see the light" and get into because of excitement.

Hey Elon get back on twitter. You've literally made two same posts. I don't understand why you would care so much about this unless you are Elon.

There is also medical tourism the other way to EU, Mexico, and other countries. US is really good for the top 10%, who can afford it. However, a minimum wage worker has a really tough time getting good results because the cost is astronomic

Tesla is currently being subsidized by the feds and doesn't California have additional rebates on EVs? If one could get $7500 on a hybrid or just a regular car, Tesla would not be doing so great.

I rewrote a mission critical application. The original app was something else. One function had 1500+ lines of code. It was the ugliest thing I have seen in my life. We wrote cleaner code in early college years. However, that code ran the b

Very interesting approach. As someone who has overengineered last major project I worked on......maybe this is the way. I got so fixated on getting it "right" using current standards and abstractions that it became a bit of a mess

Pretty much. I like hacking away. Writing code, configuring stuff, figuring out obscure bugs. I reached a point as a fullstack dev where I could build a complete app, deploy it and maintain it. But now I feel like I need to market myself. I
