Picking up photography as a hobby made me appreciate videography much more. I now can't help but think about details like lighting and composition.

We had that back in the late 90s. I remember dogpile and Copernic. Actually, I just checked them out, and it seems both of those are still alive.

Given how plenty of other countries with free healthcare also have homelessness problems, I doubt these issues are related all that closely. Have a look at the large Canadian cities: Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. Or France, whose residen

Is he referring to linear feedback as a hack? That would be odd as it's the basis of control theory.

You don't need an inverted pendulum to make an aircraft unstable. See the Grumman X-29, the forward-swept wing made it aerodynamically unstable, and it piloting it was only made possible by feedback control software. https://

Do you have a source for that 5% figure? I mean, I suspect as much from my own experience, but I'm curious to know if there's actual research out there.

For what it's worth, the Spyder IDE for python imitates many features of MATLAB and I don't find myself missing much. The data viewer in particular is great.

Based on what I've seen, rust really can be just as fast. D and Nim are a bit more iffy since they have built in GC. It can be turned off, but at that point you lose a major selling point over C++, memory safety.

I'm not sure why anyone today would start a greenfield project in C++ instead of D, rust or Nim. Maybe in niches where C++ is deeply rooted, like games.

Before following your link, I was getting all ready to point you to Wikipedia's page on Simpson's rule (invented sometime in the 18th century). Funny anecdote, serves as a reminder to not take all academic literature as gospel.
