I got my current gig with a $50K pay bump through a public slack group for devops engineers. There are almost certainly groups out there for software devs if you do some googling for them.

   100 percent agree on that.

The point is, it is not like it is some grand undertaking to go through. Literally anyone can found a company and become its CEO.

You can establish a LLC for about $500 online and update your LinkedIn to reflect your new position as CEO fyi.

One of the downsides of work from home being the new norm is that has already become part of the job.

I mean, I agree with all your points, but red flags for what? I want to learn how to draw and am willing to invest resources to do it. Currently going through the free drawabox.com lessons and that seems to have all the exercises and videos

Boo. Everything I've learned, from work to living like an adult, has come down to practice. If I thought it was just "natural talent" I'd never attempt to get better at anything.

I would legit save up enough money to attend FZD if it was in the United States. I work as a Site Reliability Engineer and can afford the cost, ha.

This is how you beat Amazon/AWS, you go for the 40 percent where they fall behind in their products and make it better. They have a broad set of tooling not a particularly deep set of tooling.

That’s how Google hired before introducing LeetCode to the process, from my understanding.

My last interview where I accepted the gig was two qa interviews in a conversational style format, I much prefer that over leetcode type questions. I'm DevOps rather than a software engineer though so YMMV.

Can’t it be argued that the crash came and went with the pandemic already?

I’ve literally never had to write a cover letter in my 6+ year career in tech outside of FAANGM. Complete waste of time imho.

The best of these is shadow.tech, they literally give you a Windows Desktop to remote into and play any game you want. The rest of these services all have limited game availability.
