An iPhone web app will also work on Androids Platform and I'm assuming Nokia's S60 Platform(it uses a webkit browser). So there are some benefits to being platform "agnostic" (even though it's not as true in this case).

Enough is like 15k. I'm developing the app now, and it's an app that people would (hypothetically) pay for. So cash should flow within 2-3 months(based off prev experience of selling things online) after I launch. and if I need a cash infus

No. YC is empowering, you are definitely doing it yourself with YC. To be more specific, my idea hasn't changed, I have personally grown (before I felt YC would 'validate' my idea) and I don't believe that I would be accepted (in other word

That's a good step. I'm setting a goal of how much money I need to feel secure and pursue the idea instead of a deadline because I can always develop it (part time) in the mean time.

Thanks, I already applied last year. Not going for the gold again this year. Would rather just do it myself.

If you really have a start up, not a pyramid scheme, definitely. I think I speak for everyone here when I say that we like those types of things because they adds to our collective intelligence.

"Type name, brand, and type of anything for your home or garden." is not easy to read. My first impression is to try something like "Ikea dressers" just give me an example how I can search, like "Dresser" or "ikea" or w/e.

I think your name does need work and the principle behind the app is really good, I wouldnt want to waste my time writing a full BP. But you should make that landing page more friendly, right now it's a like a shy kid in the corner. Nice &#

I would make it clearer WHY I SHOULD USE LUMINOTES? My first thoughts for a use case would be for a company to keep training docs. In which case, I would make the fact that it costs money more prominent.

"Anyone who relies on restricting information to stay in business is in trouble these days." That would be the "SEO" industry ( not the entire industry.. just 90% ).

I agree, I think there is a serious hole that can be addressed. I mean if your service could take my idea "We make reading feeds from Gmail easy" and create compelling copy that will drive signups, I'd use it often.

I never had my own "startup" per se, but I did start a web business right out of high school, what I learned from that: 1. Don't give up easily. I had like 5k in revenue per month out of the gate and I shut it down... which leads me too..

Funny that the only person who actually says something even semi-relevant is downmodded. Like Zacharye says, it's about your target. Are you selling something? are you trying to attract advertisers? are you trying to drive signups? I've fou

Ning is not a social network. I believe there is value in being able to create your own social network. I mean ning is in use from several 'not-so-large-but-big' brands such as Singer Natasha Bedingfield [ http://www.natashabedingfieldusa
