Why do you set a fixed price of 36 Euro / MWh for the next 20 years. At least take the phelix Futures to get a somewhat reasonable picture: https://www.eex.com/en/market-data/power/futures/phelix-de-

Hi Christian, first of all I think it's a great commitment. May I ask what measures stripe has taken when it comes to energy efficiency to reduce emissions - often this can be cheaper than cleaning up the mess afterwards. Do you know,

Sure, energy density can be looked up pretty much everywhere but here is a paper mentioning it, which might be otherwise interesting to you as well: https://afdc.energy.gov/files/pdfs/hyd_economy_bossel_eliass...

Does anyone know if there is anyone researching on CH4 (Methane) sequestration? While it's concentration is vastly lower than CO2 (around 1.6ppm vs >400 ppm CO2) it still has roughly a quarter of the impact of the atmospheric CO2. I

But now during simulations test pilots apparently found situations where the computer was too slow to handle their input in adequate time. So while the crash was not the caused by this problem, there seems to be a problem.

The issue is (from what I understand as layman) that to avoid recertification they kept their old computer hardware from earlier 737 generations, and added more and more tasks to do for it. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/

That sounds like adding a heuristic which works most of the time which is something I can see myself doing to cover some pathfinding issue in a game where it's sufficient if it works 99,9% of the time or when working on a simulation wh

Nuclear is far from being cheap. Take a look at the exploding costs at Flamanville [0], Olkiluoto[1], Hinkley Point C[2]. Those 3 Plants alone already cost more than 1/50 of the 2 trillion which you claim would have been sufficient. De

"Fossil fuel/non-renewables" would not have been the biggest, as you can see in the chart, "renewables" is bigger. Also they didn't split it into those subcategories so that solar wins, this technology split is

With the recent delays at Flamanville 3 because of faulty welds [0] which make a completion before end of 2020 rather unlikely there are big question because that is one of the conditions in the hinkley point C contracts [1] [2]. [0] http:

wouldn't the ideal be that the employee gets to pick his own tools in coordination with the employer. And the "minimum requirements" is often so short sighted, compared to what an employee costs, spending 500 or 1000 Dollar&#

Their webpage [0] has the construction cost at $3 billion for a ~700 MW reactor. This is about the same as the originally projected cost for the Flamanville EPR with 1600 MW, which now is expected to end up costing ~$10 Billion. Now even if

It's always about cost, if it wasn't about cost we could just build so much PV/Wind + Power to Gas/Liquid Facilities as we need and be done with it. And building new nuclear is way more expensive than projected in your l
