What if mobile platforms (iOS, Android... ) changed the security/privacy policy so that apps had to request the “network access” permission, either whitelisting domains they want to talk to, or askingfor wildcard access? Most apps shou

Started again and finished the game this time, great experience! Wish it was way longer now haha, although it's already been quite a bit of procrastinating :)

This was really fun! Thanks for making it :) Got to a point where I overloaded a host and my system melted taking me back to the start, is that the end or should I try again to get past that?

Cookies are a lot safer for authentication than localStorage. The only problem with this change is persisting data for offline use, not authenticating the user.

This. Passing a variable named $config, or options, settings... etc, to a function with no type definition is the recipe for unmaintainability.

I did some freelance work for their University's Engineering Faculty in ~2014 and it was pretty cool, reading up on them here now I can see how their coop nature influenced their research, as a lot of it was about making sure that work

I get the point, but I’d be afraid that non-technical users would be confused to the point of not even trying... You could obviously add some info message below or above, but people tend to be terrible at reading. Maybe if the 2FA input fie

I used to be a casual PC gamer, with a fairly good spec build. Then one day I played some VR games at a friend’s house on PSVR, which blew my mind - not only how much fun I had, but how much fun our non gamer friends had! After that my wife

Serious question - is there any reason why naming things with consecutive simple numbers isn't the best approach? WiFi 1, WiFi 2 ... MacBook Air 1, MacBook Air 2 ... MacOS 10, MacOS 11 I know some of these are already named this way, t

I think that in order to have a good discussion it would help if you could explain why public transport is slower in your case. Is the route longer because there isn't a line that goes straight from your home to your workplace? Is it b

Not trying to just nitpick, but if we assume that the Google Maps use research and data from users when planning features then the feature you're after may actually not be very common. And your answer to someone asking "Why do you

This was such a nice read! I've only ever written Java & JavaScript really, and Haskell is always at the top of the list of things I want to learn! When I got to the 7 line snippet at the end I was blown away by the elegance, and t

The problem is that we went backwards in many ways... REST made it easier to define the API and to understand, but pretty much impossible to autogenerate a client for example. With a well made SOAP API you can autogenerate client code for i
